Lingerie for Backless Dresses

Hello,
My 16 year old, beautiful grand-daughter was bought a lovely halter-necked ball gown for her prom in June, but is having a problem finding a bra to wear under it – low back and very deep plunge. She has a lovely size 6 figure and is petite, but doesn’t want to go bra-less as nipples show through. Have you any ideas for her please?
Regards,
Sophie

Dear Sophie,

I love this question. When I was young I had the same problem, a petite body but breasts that were a little too big for me until I grew into them! I understand how your grand-daughter doesn’t want to leave her chest bare under the dress which leaves a openness that is not comfortable.

When it comes to pasties and skin-tone bras they don’t necessarily stick for a long period of time depending on your body temperature. You want to feel secure in your bra and dress so nothing feels like it’s falling out.

For this problem, I would suggest a low-backed bustier like this one. This can hold you in from the front but still have a very low back to wear with low-backed dresses. You can easily find one in black, nude or white.
Let me know how it goes!

Sincerely yours,

Kandee Gem

Classic Lingerie Colours

Hi,

I usually buy black lingerie and I want to experiment with some other colours, but not really bright ones. I don’t like nude coloured lingerie. I want something that looks quite classic like black lingerie does, but which isn’t black. Any suggestions?

Thanks, from Marie.

Dear Marie,

Very interesting question…

I would experiment with some different colours. First, pick some lingerie colors out and hold them up to your face. When you see a colour that makes your face glow, try it on. For example, try deep reds, purples and hunter green colors.

Not all colors are for everyone. This is just like putting eye shadows on – you want your eyes to pop and not look dull.

Let me know how it goes!

Sincerely yours,

Kandee Gem
