I’ve had mixed experiences with Gossard – I was really disappointed with the fabric of the Femme Fatale bra but the Colour Clash is one of my favourite bras that I own – so I’ve been looking for an excuse to try them out again to see whether the good bra or the bad bra was the odd one out. The black Ooh La La corselet caught my eye ages ago but there was always something else I wanted to buy more.
Today though Gossard announced a flash 25%-off-everything sale for 24 hours only, ending at 8am tomorrow morning, which includes sale items. And that includes the Ooh La La corselet! Unfortunately the black version that I preferred is now sold out in my size but I’ve bought the ivory one which is lovely too so expect a review soon.
In the meantime, here are some other gorgeous picks from the Gossard sale that I’d also be buying if I hadn’t spent a small large fortune on lingerie recently – remember, the prices quoted below are only valid until 8am UK time tomorrow morning (the discount will be applied once you add items to your shopping bag).
Ooh La La corselet in black – Was £59, Currently £15 (pictured above)
Well, I’ll start with the Ooh La La corselet in ‘noir’! This colourway is now only left in a 34FF or 38G but if you happen to fit either of those sizes, I’m not sure I know of anything prettier you can buy with £15.
Retrolution plunge bra – Was £42, Currently £16.88 and waist cincher – Was £40, Currently £18
I’ve been really into girdles lately and these girdle-style knickers are beautiful! The ‘super plunge’ bra also looks like it would be ideal for those who wear low-cut V-necklines and want to make sure their bra stays hidden. Both pieces are still available in a wide range of sizes.
Edina body – Was £69, Currently £25.88
Something weird has happened to me this past year – I’ve gone from hating floral prints to absolutely loving them! (But not the ‘ditsy print’ kind, or anything too pink and girly). I love the colours of this bodysuit, and I also love the really unusual lace ‘hips’ added onto the bottom.
Berlei Free Lace bra – Was £34, Currently £18 and knickers – Was £36, Currently £19.50
This set is by sister-brand Berlei but available to buy at Gossard. Shapewear has come on leaps and bounds over the past couple of years, but the majority of it is still pretty bland and uninspiring (even best-selling brand Spanx is almost entirely plain black and plain beige pieces). Here then is shapewear for women who want something that’s actually pretty – the bra supposedly does a bit of shaping and the knickers are tummy-control ones with smooth edges so there’s no VPL. And they’re sheer lace at the back – gorgeous!
Colour Clash bra – Was £29, Currently £8.25 and suspender belt – Was £22, Currently £6
Last but not least, I wouldn’t be buying this set because I already own it, but I’d totally recommend it! You can read my review here. The suspender belt is only left in a size XS which is suitable for a UK 8 to 10 (US 4 to 6) but the bra is still available in a few sizes. The matching knickers are sold out but there are some available brand new on eBay (along with the suspender belt in other sizes). The set is a total bargain at this price!
