Splurge or Save? Agent Provocateur vs. Baci Pleat and Lace Bra

Agent Provocateur’s Fifi set is one of the brand’s most iconic designs, and although my favourite has always been the lipstick red version (because I think all lingerie looks better in red!), this classic AP black and pale pink version is also pretty beautiful.

I spotted the incredibly similar Baci Lingerie bra above over at the outlet sale site MySale.co.uk yesterday, where it’s on clearance for a teeny weeny £5! Sizes are limited, but it’s also available in more sizes at Alicia’s Fantasy for the full retail price of £23.99 where the matching knickers are also available for £13.99. (That website does look a bit dodgy but they accept Paypal and returns, so I think it’s okay).

Of course, the Agent Provocateur Fifi set, which I own, is going to be much better quality – you’re paying for a French Chantilly lace trim which is beautiful. The tulle itself is only polyester, but then this is one of Agent Provocateur’s cheaper designs. You can check out my full review here.

The main differences on Baci Lingerie’s version are the colours (they’re similar, but the tulle is white rather than pale pink) and the lace, which to me looks clearly cheaper.

So, which one to buy? If you just love the look and aren’t all that bothered about quality, I say go for the Baci Lingerie set whilst the bra is only £5 at MySale.co.uk.

However if you do want something beautiful and well-made, the Agent Provocateur Fifi set fits the bill and may well be included in their Christmas sale next month, where they typically reduce items by 50% or more. It’ll still cost you more than the Baci Lingerie copy, but I think it’s worth it!

Which of the two bra sets you would buy?
