As I’m writing this blog post, I’m over a month into Spain’s coronavirus quarantine, and who knows how long it or other countries’ lockdowns will continue for. Countless businesses around the world are at a standstill, including many lingerie ones, and those that are continuing to trade in many cases just aren’t getting the number of orders they usually do.
It’s also the case that in a lot of places, there is currently less financial help available in general to the self-employed, meaning this crisis is no doubt hitting indie sellers especially hard. So today’s blog post is a round up of lingerie items by small, independent labels – most of them handmade, one-person operations – that you can buy to help support them, if you’re in a position to do that.
I know that a lot of people are playing it safe with their money right now. If you’re able to place a big order, great! But if not and you still want to purchase something small (because every order helps indie businesses right now), the list below is for you. From knickers to accessories such as chokers and sleep masks, here are some items that all cost £25 or under:
One last note: if there is a particular independent lingerie brand that you really want to support, but you can’t afford to buy what you want to buy from them right now, find out if they sell gift vouchers or accept payment in installments. This is a great way to spread the cost for you, while also helping them out with their cash flow.
