If there’s one thing about me that will never change, it’s that I love a good digital floral print. I’m also rather partial to a fancy robe. So naturally, when I came across this Wild Bloom robe by Vimissia this summer (I don’t recall where now, probably Instagram), I was instantly enthralled.
Vimissia is a relatively new brand which launched in March. It’s based in Canada and was founded by Victoria Zhadan, Evgeniya Burmaka and Elena Smirnova, with a focus on creating locally-made luxury silk nightwear. Designs range from simple, casual lounge pieces to beautifully-elegant nightgowns and robes, including some that incorporate delicate French lace, but my favourites are the printed pieces, all of which take on a floral theme.
The Wild Bloom robe that this post is crafted from stretch silk (the product description is a little confusing as it refers to ‘pure silk’, but the composition lists a 10% spandex content) and it’s printed with a striking, vibrantly-colourful floral design that makes such a statement against the simple white background and trims. Though, if you’re not a fan of white, it’s also available with a black base.
In fact, there’s a whole range of Wild Bloom designs, each available in white or black. Other styles include a shorter robe, a cami and shorts set, and a rather fantastic lounge set with trousers and a belted top. The best bit? In the time it took me to finish writing this article, all floral print silk pieces went on sale with this robe currently down from $827 CAD (approx. £445 / $600 USD / 510€) to $578.90 CAD (approx. (approx. £310 / $420 USD / 360€).
I don’t know how long it will last for, but if you’re as captivated by this floral delight as I am, right now is the perfect time to get it!
