LIVY is a brand I came across very recently, and which instantly caught my eye. Based in France, it was founded last year by Lisa Chavy, Head of Design at high-street lingerie brand Undiz and a previous lingerie designer for luxury brands such as Dior and Cacharel.

I’m going through something of a sheer mesh phase right now. I’m late to the trend, I know. But there’s something particularly entrancing to me about this barely-there fabric – especially when it forms a backdrop for stunning embroidery work.

My move to Barcelona got off to a serendipitous start last year when I was contacted by Sofía Luzón, a local designer who had at the time just debuted her brand. I instantly fell in love with the 12-piece collection, which focusses on elegant, simple shapes crafted from silk satin and luxurious, European-made laces.

Although oodles of support is no longer what I really look for in a bra, I had a Panache bra back when I was pregnant and have also tried, and been impressed by, their Cleo by Panache line. This is a brand that combines a wealth of fit expertise with great fabric choices, to create full-bust lingerie that isn’t boring.

If you’ve never tried silk lingerie, you’re missing out. I used to wonder if there was really such a difference between real silk garments and their polyester satin and chiffon lookalikes, except for the price tag. Then I finally caved into my curiosity and trust me, the two are worlds apart.
