by Estelle Puleston September 20, 2019
by Estelle Puleston September 20, 2019

When Impish Lee launched its customisation tool in 2015, it was a totally new concept in the lingerie world – getting to pick your own fabrics and colours, plus make design changes such as adding or removing bows, all without having to spend time communicating back and forth with the designer.

by Eliza Lahey May 11, 2019

Rapture and Repent immediately caught my eye for its darkly original, fetish-inspired designs. The designer, Monika Cibulskis, first started selling lingerie and accessories while studying fashion at Ryerson University in Canada.

by Estelle Puleston February 24, 2019

Studio Pia is something special. I’ve liked every single design they have launched to date, and that’s unusual. And that has only become truer than ever with the new Spring/Summer 2019 collection, which is my favourite yet.

  • Lingerie Review: Creepyyeha Ravish Me Bra & Suspender Belt Set

by Eliza Lahey July 21, 2018
by Eliza Lahey July 21, 2018

I fell in love with the dark, otherwordly air of Creepyyeha’s designs, and knew I had to have the Ravish Me set. It’s one of her classics, and I loved it from the moment I put it on. It comes in black and white, but I chose the black version for the way it contrasts with my skin tone.

  • Trendlistr x Effie Butterworth: Upcycling Vintage Clothing into Lingerie

by Eleanor Wiseman July 19, 2018
by Eleanor Wiseman July 19, 2018

With the fashion industry being the second largest contributor to global pollution, it’s comforting to know that brands are taking steps towards reducing their carbon footprint. One of the biggest recommendations is to buy second hand or vintage clothing, but this isn’t always ideal when it comes to underwear.

Currently dealing with a cold and feeling sorry fo Currently dealing with a cold and feeling sorry for myself because of it 🤧, so here's a throwback to last summer in Granada when everything was warm and sunny and perfect 🌞

‍Our new flat has a rooftop terrace, only a very small one but it's my first terrace so I'm already excited for all the outdoor coffee and croissant breaks I'll be taking this coming summer! How will I ever get any work done?!

P.S. Currently ploughing through my 2023 lingerie trend predictions article, it's coming soon!

An unintentional new addition to my Lingerie Mix n An unintentional new addition to my Lingerie Mix n Match series - I've just gone through and hashtagged all of these #lingeriemixnmatch if you want to check out the others.

I adore this @emmaharrislingerie Melody bra, but sadly the matching knickers have gotten damaged. I am planning to repair them, but when I saw this @harlowandfox Eleanor thong in colour 'Hazel' in the brand's sample sale earlier this year, it looked like a reeeeeally good colour match to give me a second option to wear with the bra. It turns out the silk isn't *quite* as similar a colour as it looked online, but it's pretty close right? I might even add a little bow and pearl charm to the bra's gore to increase the resemblance (and also just because I love pearls).

There will be more mix-n-matches to come in 2023! I really haven't bought a lot of lingerie this year - my latest blog article explains why - so I'm feeling especially motivated to try out new combinations with what I already own. It's a great way to make a lingerie collection feel all exciting and 'new' again without doing any shopping 🛍️🚫

New blog post: Why I hardly bought any lingerie in New blog post: Why I hardly bought any lingerie in 2022. I'll pop the link in my stories 🔗

I only made 3 lingerie purchases throughout the whole of this year, including this Sulis slip skirt. (I also bought this Rosamosario camisole this year but I'm not counting it as lingerie - I wear it as a top). I started trying to live more sustainably in 2019 and admittedly it took me a lot longer to change my lingerie shopping habits than it did my approach to buying things such as food or makeup or even other types of clothing, because alongside fancy patisserie cakes, lingerie has always been my main indulgence. The thing I love and buy to treat myself.

But realistically, I have way more lingerie already than one person actually needs. I still love discovering new brands or designs, but I've stopped feeling like I need to *own* a particular piece to be able to appreciate it. So, anyway, just some thoughts I wanted to share as we wrap up the end of the year - there's more in the blog article.

I think a lot of us are trying to be more sustainable nowadays. Have you made any changes to how you shop for, or care for, your lingerie lately?

As someone who loves white and cream clothing, her As someone who loves white and cream clothing, here's something I couldn't live without: slips! A friend recently described hers as her 'granny slip', but we should totally reclaim this garment and make it popular again - it's SO useful. Do you wear them?

P.S. This slip skirt is by @sulis_silks in a custom champagne colour. A great brand to check for affordable, ethically-produced silk lingerie and nightwear!

One of the things I am trying to get better about One of the things I am trying to get better about is repairing my lingerie/clothing. I take really good care of my underwear in general - I hand wash everything, I let it air dry, and I store each set in its own protective bag - but I do have a terrible habit of throwing things on a 'to repair' pile when they break and then just forgetting that they exist.

This Fréolic set is utterly gorgeous, and generally speaking it's one of the best-constructed sets I own, but the corded metallic lace appliquéd onto the thong was unravelling all over. Photo 2 was taken back in February and it had only gotten worse since, until I eventually stopped wearing it because I didn't want to damage it further.

Well, I finally fixed it. Unfortunately I couldn't find a gold thread in quite the same shade, and I'm definitely no expert embroiderer, but I don't hate the result. At least now I can get back to wearing this beautiful, beautiful lingerie set!

How often do you repair your clothing that breaks? Is it just the special pieces, or something you try to do for everything?

If you're in search of a really great, comfy bra t If you're in search of a really great, comfy bra that is relatively inexpensive and will work under lots of necklines, might I recommend the @lavinialingerie balconettes. The all-black Mia bra (swipe to see it 👉) is one of my everyday staples! Both bras are the same shape but different cup sizes; I got my best fit by going down a cup size from my usual, but I often have to do that in moulded bras so your experience may not be the same.

What are your favourite everyday bras?

(P.S. These are both available in plus and full-bust sizes)

I saw this cute little book, Instant Expert Linger I saw this cute little book, Instant Expert Lingerie by Marilisa Racco, online and couldn't resist adding it to my cart. Just spent the afternoon reading it cover to cover. Unfortunately, it's not a great beginner's guide to buy now because it feels pretty dated - as well as some info/advice I don't agree with, it was written in 2011 and large swathes of the book are dedicated to recommending brands (and even some specific lingerie sets) of which a significant number are no longer around. Though if you like learning about now-defunct luxury lingerie brands from the 2000s/2010s, then it might be worth picking up for exactly that reason!

What are your favourite lingerie-themed books? I've read a few, but am now wondering how many others are out there that I've missed over the years...
