Bows on lingerie seems to be a very polarising design feature. They’re everywhere, so it’s little wonder some people are bored of them, but it is worth knowing the reasons they’re so ubiquitous. And personally, I’m thrilled that bows are having a bit of an extra popular moment in lingerie right now!

I’m not quite sure what to call this new(ish) loungewear trend – it’s not ‘animal print’ in the typical sense, so I’m going with ‘animal illustration’ instead. Emblazoned with repeating motifs – most frequently snakes, zebras or big cats – these pieces will add heaps of fun to your homewear wardrobe!

Fluffy and fabulous, marabou is commonly associated with the sex kitten glamour of the 1950s as it was often seen on Hollywood stars such as Marilyn Monroe and Mae West. Since then it’s faded in and out of popularity – and right now, it’s definitely having a comeback moment.
