I thought I’d do something a little different today and write about something loungewear-adjacent – slippers! I’m still not totally used to living in a country that shuns carpet, and I hate the feeling of freezing tiles under my feet first thing in the morning.

Launched in 2002, Lavinia Lingerie is a retailer to keep on your radar if you love embroidery, lace, and intricate detail. Based in the US but with a product range that meshes together a few North American brands with dozens of European ones, their focus is on lingerie that’s as uniquely-styled as it is supportive.

At the end of summer, luxury lingerie brand Harlow & Fox launched a flash sample sale. It coincided with the first day of a holiday for me but, like the lingerie-obsessed person that I am, I took my phone to the beach to make sure I got first dibs on what was going.

One of the things I wanted for years and yet somehow never got round to buying myself was a full-length robe in sheer lace. They just always catch my eye. Whether it’s over bare skin or a slip in a contrasting colour, few pieces of lingerie can show off lace like a long robe can. And you know that I’m a lace fiend!

The world is filled with cookie-cutter lingerie boutiques. As much as I love bra shopping, it does get somewhat less exciting when every boutique I walk into is carrying the same selection of products. That’s why I was so intrigued to learn about Les Rituelles.

One of the least talked-about sizes categories in the lingerie industry is sub-A cup sizing. It’s also one of the least catered-to, with almost all brands (besides, of course, full-bust specialists) beginning their range at an A cup.

Studio Pia’s SS19 collection was incredible – and hard to follow. A little bit of me did wonder if this designer, as talented as she obviously is, could ever create another collection as stunningly good as that one. But then I caught a glimpse of this season’s gold chain embroidery in an Insta story, and I knew right away that she had.

When Impish Lee launched its customisation tool in 2015, it was a totally new concept in the lingerie world – getting to pick your own fabrics and colours, plus make design changes such as adding or removing bows, all without having to spend time communicating back and forth with the designer.

A couple of summers ago, Chantelle sent me this bra set for an Instagram collaboration. Since then, it’s become one of my most regularly-worn sets – so much so, that I decided I would really be doing you all a disservice if I didn’t properly review it.

A while back, someone wrote in asking about where they could find double-strapped suspender belts. I know this is a style Agent Provocateur has done more than once, but at the time they had nothing (and currently still don’t), and at first it seemed like nowhere else did either.
