I’ve been window-shopping at Peek & Beau, a Playful Promises diffusion brand, ever since the collection was first released. I’ve consistently found Peek & Beau styles fun and interesting, and I was excited to purchase the Gold Wrap Bra and Star Gold Brief as my first experience with the brand.

My previous blog post was all about ColieCo, so now seemed like a good time to review the set I bought from this brand earlier in the year.  An independent label that I’ve been following for a couple of years, it’s headed up by designer Nicole Neaber and is sustainably-handmade in Portugal.

It’s no secret that I adore bows. I’m also a sucker for anything with fancy metal hardware on it. So when I saw Mimi Holliday’s Hide and Seek set, with its gold metal bow detailing, I knew it had to be mine.

My move to Barcelona got off to a serendipitous start last year when I was contacted by Sofía Luzón, a local designer who had at the time just debuted her brand. I instantly fell in love with the 12-piece collection, which focusses on elegant, simple shapes crafted from silk satin and luxurious, European-made laces.

The brand Pillowbook was launched by Irene Lu in 2013 and creates luxury and bespoke lingerie and loungewear. The brand’s name alludes to an ancient Chinese tradition of giving ‘pillowbooks’, containing erotic illustrations, to newly-weds as a matrimonial gift and inspirational source.
