2020 is almost over, and I know I’m not the only one excited to say goodbye! Normally, New Year’s Eve is one of my favourite nights of the year to get dressed up. I love the glitter, sparkles and metallic colours that define New Year’s celebrations, and it’s always fun to end the year lavishly.

The pieces here range from a smidge over £250 through to one piece that’s in the four figures, and represent some of the most breathtakingly-exquisite lingerie and loungewear I’ve seen all year.

I first discovered Australian brand Stonemen several years ago whilst looking for comfortable, stylish men’s underwear as a gift for my partner. I was so impressed by the quality of the briefs that came for him that I knew I had to get my own pair of Stonemen one day.

This is the type of price range where you can find something truly luxurious and beautiful, but small, or opt for a larger piece such as a robe or gown that’s going to be made from more budget-friendly materials – think silk knickers, but polyester pyjama sets.

I’m kicking my holiday content off with my most budget-friendly gift guide, covering ideas for less than £50. At this price, you can’t expect to find luxury (unless you’re incredibly lucky and score a significant sale discount), but you can still find lingerie that’s uniqely pretty.

Winter is coming! Which means it’s time to begin the switch from our lightweight, floaty summer lounge pieces to our cosy winter ones. And few fabrics feel as luxuriously warm, soft and comfy – and look as glamorous – as velvet does.

Last Thursday, Zara made a bold entry into the lingerie industry with a 158-piece debut collection. While around a third of those have yet to be unveiled, the launch is titled “The Female Gaze” and so far seems to be a push-up free, padding-free product range that focusses on embracing comfort.

There are a number of reasons to consider wearing wool tights or stockings this winter. For one thing, it’s well known that wool is insulating. The naturally wavy shape of the fibers traps a layer of air against your skin, which keeps you nice and warm.
