I recently got back from a mini-break to Venice, a belated birthday treat from my fiancé. It’s a place I’ve always wanted to visit, mostly to see all the canals. But when I found out I was going, my mind also turned to one of those other things Venice is famous for – its lace.

Aerie’s latest campaign is going viral, and you’ll love the reason why. The lingerie brand is sending a clear message of body positivity and inclusivity. Presented on their website and all of their marketing are models who have a variety of medical disabilities or illnesses.

Ever since the explosion in bralette popularity, I’ve spotted more than a few brands labelling something as a bralette when it’s clearly not. And it annoys me, because it spreads misinformation and confuses consumers about what a bralette really is.

It’s hard to be an American with a lingerie addiction. I’ve often lamentedhow the limited number of lingerie storefronts in America means we face the perils of online shopping more often than not. So when I found out I’d be living in Paris for six months, I was elated to shop in one of the lingerie capitals of the world.

If you’ve never tried silk lingerie, you’re missing out. I used to wonder if there was really such a difference between real silk garments and their polyester satin and chiffon lookalikes, except for the price tag. Then I finally caved into my curiosity and trust me, the two are worlds apart.
