As a late eighties baby, the original Lucy Jones Lingerie was before my time. It was founded by Lucy Jones in Liverpool in 1980 and went on to what I can only describe as phenomenal success for a small, independent brand, being stocked in leading department stores including the likes of Harrods.

Earlier this year, I wrote about Beba Lingerie, a Serbian brand that I had at the time just discovered – and it was love at first sight. It was giving me strong Honey Birdette vibes, with maybe a little Bordelle thrown in too, and the prices seemed pretty great for the designs on offer. I simply could not get the brand’s Becca bodysuit out of my head.

I may only own a handful, but bodysuits are one of my favourite lingerie styles – if you can get the fit right, they’re an incredibly versatile type of garment. In fact, they’re often the first thing mentioned when discussing ideas to wear lingerie as outerwear.

Launched in Russia in 2000 and now based in Czechia, PS-Ling focusses on creating a very unusual product – T-front bodywear. Neither a full gusset nor totally crotchless design, they instead use a narrow string that runs from the front to back.

Still, it’s been a while since I have been this obsessed with any one piece of lingerie.

Latex has increasingly become a more mainstream fabric in the fashion industry, and my own collection has slowly grown over the past year or so. Most recently I was offered a piece to review by Honour, a British-based company who specialise in fetishwear, toys, and accessories.

Normally, I wouldn’t review something I’ve decided not to keep. I feel like you need to wear and wash a garment at least a few times before you can properly judge it. But ever so occasionally, I’ll briefly get my hands on a piece of lingerie that is so special I want to write about it anyway.

Disclosure: I purchased this bodysuit myself. Back at Christmas I managed to pack a suitcase with almost no lingerie in it for a 2-week trip, so I had to do a…
